Another point, Kodiak, the reason the Canadian population is declining is NOT "thanks to TOO many immigrants". Although I agree THERE ARE too many immigrants coming to Canada, it does not have any influence whatsoever on the decreasing of "non-immigrant Canadians". The reason? for this is that Canadians - like the populations of ALL industrialized countries - are not procreating enough! Again, I think we DO NEED immigrants, but 300 K a year is just crazy!!!

The economical data shows clearly that there are no decent jobs for so many people. Immigrants from the Skilled Class come here with high levels of education - proportionally higher than Canadians. Refugees, on the other? hand, are a shot in the dark. Nobody knows clearly who they are. And regarding thankfulness, Canadians should be thankful to the skilled immigrants because the Canadian population is in sharp decline. We need immigrants. Yes,true,Intellectual acheivements are greater outside Canada...ie China,England,Japan but I'm only? refering to immigrants AS THEY ENTER CANADA....the large majority are un-educated! That's a fact. You are dreaming... The situation regarding? intellectual achievement, as showed by official statistics, is quite the contrary. Immigrants in general are much more educated and excel in school. Their school performance from elementary school to Ph.D. is far, far superior than the performance of "traditional" Canadian kids. Regarding the "Frees" you mention, they pay taxes and deserve that. My point is just that there are no jobs for 300,000 immigrants a year. The system a SCAM!
